Dear COLSAC Member,
After many years, we are finally at the moment in time that many of us have envisioned since we first made Hollywood our home. We have a major motion picture (www.InTheClosetMovie.com) coming to select theaters nationwide! THIS IS EXCITING! Our campaign with our Distributor, "Good New Movies" has begun! So just a heads up, we will continue sending you emails and updates pertaining to “In the Closet” for the next 8 weeks. We will send around 2 emails a week with each new week with a new theme. THIS WEEK, our theme is spreading the word! We are asking everyone; all of our friends, members, supporters, and family to pass these emails on to people you know and are in contact with so we can build a lot of hype for our upcoming film. We are asking for everyone to visit our sites and to see all of the work we have done, comment and rate! Also, our star, Kimo Leopoldo, has already started a campaign of his own. We are also blessed to have picked up another distribution deal with Echad Ministries! We are pleased to announce that our film will also be playing in prisons nationwide! This is the perfect time to update your
information with us and tell a friend to do so as well, because we have a LOT of events planned! This weekend we will be at the LA Convention Center with Kimo Leopoldo, promoting the film at the International Mixed Martial Arts Expo. We need our supporters and friends to attend! Another event planned is our Official Premiere Party and Concert at the Celebrity Centre Oct 10, 2009. All of the actors from our film will be in attendance and the singers from our film will be performing live! Once again, we would love for ALL of our supporters to attend this special event!
Lastly, we would like you to check out our new interactive website, www.intheclosetmovie.com, to get more info on our film and to view content from our other upcoming projects. We have so many things going on and we want our people to get back involved. All young adults who would like to be a part of the street team for our film please visit COLSAC.org to register and a captain will get in touch with you. We will also be filming and entering 3 original shorts for BET and Johnson and Johnson’s Film Maker Challenge and if you want to be involved in this you will need to tell us!! The Deadline to sign up and to get involved for the BET challenge will be September 11, 2009 so do not hesitate, this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity!
