Since 1996, COLSAC has earned a reputation as one of Hollywood’s leaders in the theatrical community. With over 300 members, COLSAC’s productions have garnered stellar reviews including Backstage West’s Critic’s Pick and L.A. Weekly’s Pick of the Week. In addition to theatrical productions, COLSAC offers an After School Repertory Theater Company and Kids’ Summer Repertory Company that introduces, educates and trains youth to the world of theater and film.

How Can You Help?
As a non-profit organization (501c3), we are seeking financial support from private and corporate businesses as well as individuals supporters of the arts who share our vision.. In 2003, COLSAC is expanding its programming to provide more Los Angeles inner city youth with a chance to participate in our theatrical programming. Not only will these students get an opportunity to enhance their skills as thespians in our After School Repertory Theater Company and Kids' Summer Repertory Theater Company, but many will have a rare opportunity to learn valuable behind-the-scenes instruction in costuming, lights, sound, video production and stage managing. COLSAC Writing Workshops Proram
The Writer’s Workshop Program allows participants to team with actors and have their unpublished original works to life. Over ten weeks the participants in this workshop focus on plot, theme, storyline, character development and basic story structure. During this cou
Stalag 17rse writers complete a one-act play, which can be showcased in one of our quarrterly One Act Festivals.

Directors Workshops Program
For more than eight years, the twelve-week Director’s Workshop has been providing new directors with a chance to learn the fundamentals of directing. Guided by COLSAC’s Artistic Director, new directors learn how to manage and direct a cast in a One Act Play. This program is designed to couple new directors with actors and creates a vehicle to showcase their visions. At the conclusion of the workshop, a One Act Showcase is performed at COLSAC.

COLSAC Writer showcase
COLSAC’s Writer Showcases is an intense ten-week program that has been mentoring and coaching new writers as they learn the basics of writing a full play for more than nine years. From character development to story line, Writers in this program study famous playwrights work and develop their unique writing voice. At the end of the workshop, participants will have successfully completed a full play and will be given an opportunity to have a staged reading of their work on one of COLSAC’s two stages.

COLSAC Flim Program (Biblical Films)
Yes, we will be filming. Biblical Films' first project is the Governor Series. Governor is about a boy who grew up in the struggle of racism and hatred. After watching two men and the local sheriff kill his parents, young Lamont Maxwell's innocence become corrupted with evil and hatred. He struggles with it by becoming a pastor and having a family of a wife and two kids. Everything changes for the bad when Maxwell decides to run for politics. Once elected Lt. Governor his life changes dramatically. He turns his back on God and divorces his faithful wife Florence to marry an office flirt which leads to Florence's destruction. His two sons, Jonathan and Luke emerge from this twisted life corrupted with evil.
