The first of the reality shows from The Coleman & Smith Artistic Company & Coalition Film Works. This heart-warming drama will make you laugh and make you cry and even make you ask the question, "Why did we act that way when we were young?". As Governor Schwarzenegger said, “This is an education issue and a working family issue. Every child who wants and needs one should have a safe, educationally enriching and fun place to go after school.” We have learned that unattended children are much more prone to commit crimes, especially during the after-school hours on their way home from school. In the case of children growing up in lower income areas, Langston Hughes poem is called to mind, “what happens to a dream deferred, does it explode?” At-risk can refer to a wide range of dangers, but in Hollywood, where impoverished children see movie stars and successful actors every day, it can be devastating. What happens to the most creative of these children, who unfortunately have no outlet for their creativity? Will Hughes’ poem ring true?

This project captured the experience of environmental artists, writer, singers, rappers, and actors. Not only are these project live events, but they are also be filmed in a three part MTV style episodic Reality TV show. This program showcase new youth’s talent and teach them skills of working together and producing projects in front and behind the camera.

The first season of In Da Cut explores the lives of 6 young men and the challenges they face trying to "make it" in this new millennium.The first of the Minisodes will be uploaded January of 2009.
